Lost Island Detailing — Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings

A single refining stage for paint that is already in good shape

Paint Enhancement

Not every vehicle needs multi-stage correction. Newer paint, well-maintained paint, and light-colored finishes often respond beautifully to a single refining stage — recovering most of the available gloss at a fraction of the labor. We will tell you honestly which one your vehicle needs after inspecting it.

Typical time in studio: 1 day

What's Included

Every appointment covers this.

  • Full chemical and mechanical decontamination
  • Single-stage machine polish across all painted surfaces
  • Trim and badge taping
  • Gloss and clarity inspection under multiple light sources
  • Panel wipe and protection application

How It's Done

The process, stage by stage.

Knowing what you are paying for is part of the service. Here is exactly what happens to your vehicle and why each stage exists.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We confirm that enhancement is genuinely the right call. If your paint needs correction, we say so rather than selling you a service that will not deliver what you are picturing.

  2. 02

    Decontamination

Foam, iron removal, and clay treatment so the polishing stage works on clean paint.

  3. 03

    Single-stage polish

A refining pad and polish combination that removes light swirling and oxidation while maximizing gloss in one pass.

  4. 04

    Protection

Sealed with your choice of durable sealant or a System X coating for long-term protection.

Questions

About paint enhancement.

My car is brand new. Does it still need correction before coating?

More often than people expect. New vehicles arrive with transport film residue, dealership wash marks, and sometimes factory sanding marks under the clear coat. Because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it for years, any defect skipped at prep becomes effectively permanent. Many new vehicles need only a single enhancement stage rather than full correction — but almost none should be coated with zero paint preparation.
