Lost Island Detailing — Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings

Services

Restore the finish. Then protect it.

Every service below exists to do one of two things: bring your paint back to where it should be, or keep it there. We do not sell basic wash packages, and we will tell you when a less expensive service is the right call for your vehicle.

Paint Correction

Permanently remove swirls, scratches, and oxidation

Multi-stage machine polishing that removes defects from the clear coat rather than filling them. The result is measurable gloss and clarity that does not wash away.

Starting at

$850

1–3 days depending on condition and paint hardness

Ceramic Coatings

System X protection, professionally installed and registered

A permanent semi-crystalline layer bonded to your clear coat. Deeper gloss, dramatically easier maintenance, and years of protection against UV, chemicals, and contamination.

Starting at

$1,400

2–5 days depending on coating tier and correction required

Paint Enhancement

A single refining stage for paint that is already in good shape

One-step machine polish that removes light defects and restores gloss. The efficient choice for newer vehicles or paint that does not warrant full correction.

Starting at

$450

1 day

Premium Interior Detailing

Deep extraction, leather care, and protection

A methodical, materials-specific interior restoration. Every surface treated according to what it actually is — not scrubbed with a single all-purpose cleaner.

Starting at

$250

4–8 hours

Premium Exterior Detailing

Safe washing and decontamination that protects your finish

A maintenance-grade exterior service performed with methods that do not introduce new defects. The correct way to keep corrected or coated paint looking the way you paid for it.

Starting at

$175

2–4 hours

Vehicle Protection Packages

Complete inside-and-out protection in one appointment

Correction, coating, interior protection, wheels, and glass combined into a single program. The most complete — and most cost-effective — way to protect a vehicle you intend to keep.

Starting at

$2,200

3–6 days

How Pricing Works

Priced by vehicle size and paint condition.

Surface area and access drive the labor, so pricing starts from three size tiers. Condition determines where within that range your vehicle lands — which is why correction and coating work is quoted after an inspection rather than sold from a menu.

Corvette, 3-Series, Camry, Charger
Midsize SUV / Truck
Grand Cherokee, F-150, 4Runner, RX

Questions

Before you book.

What does IDA Certified actually mean?

The International Detailing Association is the trade body for professional detailing. Certified Detailer status requires passing written examinations across ten subject areas — paint, chemistry, safety, interior, machine polishing, and more. Skills Validated is a separate, harder credential: it requires demonstrating the work in person, evaluated by an IDA examiner. Most detailers hold neither. It is the clearest way to verify that someone was tested by an independent body rather than self-taught from videos.

What is an Authorized System X Installer?

System X sells its professional coating line only through trained, authorized installers. Authorization means we have completed manufacturer training, use genuine product, and can register your warranty. It also means eligible installations are documented as a service record on your vehicle's Carfax history — a permanent, verifiable record that a future buyer can see.

Do I bring my vehicle to you, or do you come to me?

Our studio in Donna is where the work happens. Paint correction and coating installation require controlled lighting, stable temperature, and a dust-managed environment — conditions that cannot be reproduced in a driveway, and that directly determine whether the finished result is any good. Mobile service is available as a premium add-on for maintenance-level work within about 45 minutes of Donna, at additional cost.

How long will you have my vehicle?

Maintenance detailing is same-day. Paint enhancement is typically one day. Two-stage correction runs one to three days. A full protection package with coating is three to six days, because coatings need uninterrupted cure time before the vehicle can go back into the weather. We give you a specific timeline at booking and tell you immediately if anything changes.

Why does paint correction cost more than a detail?

Because it is a fundamentally different service. Detailing cleans the surface. Correction refinishes it — measuring clear coat thickness, then removing microns of material under machine polish to level defects permanently. It is slow, skilled, and irreversible if done carelessly, which is why paint depth readings and test sections come before any compound touches your vehicle.

Will a ceramic coating prevent scratches and rock chips?

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. A coating adds meaningful scratch resistance against light marring — wash marks, fingernail scuffs around door handles — but it will not stop a rock chip or a shopping cart. What it genuinely does: resists chemical etching from bird droppings and bug residue, blocks UV oxidation, holds gloss for years, and makes the vehicle dramatically easier to wash. For rock chip protection you want paint protection film, which is a different product.
