Maintenance detailing is same-day. Paint enhancement is typically one day. Two-stage correction runs one to three days. A full protection package with coating is three to six days, because coatings need uninterrupted cure time before the vehicle can go back into the weather. We give you a specific timeline at booking and tell you immediately if anything changes.

Because it is a fundamentally different service. Detailing cleans the surface. Correction refinishes it — measuring clear coat thickness, then removing microns of material under machine polish to level defects permanently. It is slow, skilled, and irreversible if done carelessly, which is why paint depth readings and test sections come before any compound touches your vehicle.

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. A coating adds meaningful scratch resistance against light marring — wash marks, fingernail scuffs around door handles — but it will not stop a rock chip or a shopping cart. What it genuinely does: resists chemical etching from bird droppings and bug residue, blocks UV oxidation, holds gloss for years, and makes the vehicle dramatically easier to wash. For rock chip protection you want paint protection film, which is a different product.

Yes — and washing it correctly is what determines whether the coating lasts its full life. The difference is that washing becomes far easier and far less frequent. Contamination does not bond the way it does to bare clear coat, so most dirt rinses away. We provide a written maintenance schedule and an aftercare kit with every coating installation.

Usually not completely. A scratch you can catch a fingernail in has broken through the clear coat, and clear coat cannot be polished back — only removed. We can dramatically improve its appearance by rounding the edges so it catches less light, but honest expectation-setting matters here: full removal requires refinishing the panel, which is body shop work. We will tell you which category yours falls into during inspection.

More often than people expect. New vehicles arrive with transport film residue, dealership wash marks, and sometimes factory sanding marks under the clear coat. Because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it for years, any defect skipped at prep becomes effectively permanent. Many new vehicles need only a single enhancement stage rather than full correction — but almost none should be coated with zero paint preparation.

No. Our exterior service is a full decontamination detail performed with methods that protect your finish, not a quick wash. If price is the primary concern, an express wash will serve you better than we will — and we would rather say that plainly than take work we are not the right fit for.

Yes. Trucks and lifted vehicles are priced in our largest tier because of surface area and access, not because they are treated differently. Classic and single-stage paint requires a distinctly more careful approach — single-stage finishes have no clear coat to work with and are far less forgiving — so those vehicles are always quoted after an in-person inspection.

The International Detailing Association is the trade body for professional detailing. Certified Detailer status requires passing written examinations across ten subject areas — paint, chemistry, safety, interior, machine polishing, and more. Skills Validated is a separate, harder credential: it requires demonstrating the work in person, evaluated by an IDA examiner. Most detailers hold neither. It is the clearest way to verify that someone was tested by an independent body rather than self-taught from videos.

Paint correction and coating installation require controlled lighting, stable temperature, and a dust-managed environment — conditions that cannot be reproduced in a driveway, and that directly determine whether the finished result is any good. Mobile service is available as a premium add-on for maintenance-level work within about 45 minutes of Donna, at additional cost.

Paint correction, coatings, and protection packages start with a quote request, because pricing depends on your paint's actual condition — no honest fixed price exists before someone has looked at the vehicle. A deposit secures your slot on the calendar and is applied to your final balance.

Mobile add-on service is available within roughly 45 minutes of Donna, covering most of Hidalgo County and western Cameron County. It carries an additional fee and is limited to maintenance-level work — correction and coating installation are studio-only, because the environmental control they require simply cannot be replicated on site.

Tell us before you leave. Every vehicle gets a walkaround together under proper lighting at handoff, specifically so that anything you are unhappy with gets addressed while the vehicle is still here. If something is missed, we correct it — that is the entire point of doing the inspection in person.

For a coated daily driver, a proper maintenance detail every three to four months keeps the coating performing and prevents the slow accumulation that eventually forces another correction. Garage-kept and weekend vehicles can stretch to twice a year. The point of maintenance is that correction should be a one-time expense rather than a recurring one.
